Established in 2009 in Los Angeles, California, Black Crane was founded by husband and wife Alexander Yamaguchi and Momoko Suzuki to make comfortable, relaxing, and all-inclusive clothing. Drawing inspiration from their Japanese heritage, the garments are well crafted and focus on providing both comfort and functionality to women.

Alexander Yamaguchi made the journey from Tokyo to Los Angeles at 18 with dreams of surfing. In 2000, he decided to launch his own men’s clothing line under his name, in a departure from his intended path. Meanwhile, Momoko Suzuki followed a similar path, moving from Tokyo to Los Angeles at 14. With expertise in environmental art, architecture, and interior design, she brings a unique perspective to their shared endeavors.
