Mango People founder Sravya Adusumilli wanted to create makeup products that worked for her skin and drew on her South Asian roots, so she started experimenting with clays, fruits like cherries, and flowers like hibiscus after feeling like most shades on the market didn’t flatter her skin tone. Drawing on her chemical engineering background, Adusumilli went on to create a line of multi-use makeup products powered by plant-based ingredients, rich pigments, and adaptogens like ashwagandha and brahmi so you know they nourish your skin without compromising on quality. Fast forward to now, where Mango People is Sephora’s first Ayurvedic-inspired makeup brand.

All of their products come in a lipstick-like tube that packs a lot of punch in color and hydration as a prep and hydrate stick, bronzer, highlighter, and colored multistick. In particular, their multisticks are made with mango butter and designed to glide on the eyes, lips, and cheeks and can easily be blended out with your finger, making them easy to use on the go and for a simple makeup look for any context. In a way, this was a callback to the way that Adusumilli would create entire makeup looks in college using concealer and lipstick by treating them as multi-use products.
