EADEM is a beauty brand created by and made for women of color. Founded by Marie Kouadio (of West African heritage) and Alice Lin (of Taiwanese descent), the brand creates products specifically with melanin-rich skin in mind. Co-founders Alice and Marie met while working at Google and bonded through their mutual love for and knowledge of skin care. In 2018, they started EADEM, a lifestyle blog filled with articles geared towards women of color. Now, EADEM has become a beauty brand with products designed specifically for that same community with the mission of creating thoughtfully researched skin care for melanated complexions.

At the heart of EADEM’s product line is their flagship item, the Milk Marvel Dark Spot Serum. This fragrance-free, gel-like serum is a powerhouse, harnessing the brightening properties of amber algae, niacinamide, encapsulated Vitamin C, and the gentle exfoliation of pineapple and papaya enzymes. It’s a game-changer in the battle against hyperpigmentation, effectively reducing dark spots without altering your overall skin tone. With this serum, stubborn dark spots are no match!

EADEM’s commitment to quality and inclusivity has not gone unnoticed. The brand caught the attention of beauty retail giant Sephora early on, earning a spot in their prestigious accelerator program in 2021. Additionally, EADEM was one of the first recipients of Glossier’s grant program for Black-owned businesses. These recognitions have not only provided the brand with valuable resources but also served as a testament to the brand’s excellence. Today, you can find EADEM’s products on Sephora’s website and in their US stores.
